Production Minded

We design with manufacturing constraints in mind. Our CAD/CAM process accounts for real-world variables like tool kinematics, material properties, and machine workspace limits to ensure every file is collision-free and ready for the machine.

Technical Precision

Accuracy is the foundation of our workflow. Whether programming for 3-axis routers or multi-axis mills, we maintain geometric integrity from initial STEP files through to high-fidelity G-code simulation, minimizing error and scrap.

Digital Continuity

We bridge the gap between design data and finished parts. Our systematic approach ensures a seamless transition between project phases, providing comprehensive documentation, setup sheets, and tool lists for immediate machine implementation.

COMMON QUESTIONS

FAQ

Which CAD file formats are preferred for design projects?

We primarily work with STEP, DXF, and native Autodesk Fusion files. For critical dimensions and assembly tolerances, we require accompanying PDF drawings to ensure manufacturing intent is fully captured.

What materials are supported for in-house CNC routing?

In-house manufacturing focuses on hardwoods, plywood, MDF, and engineered wood, as well as plastics such as Acrylic and HDPE. Soft metals are reviewed individually to ensure they meet our router-specific tolerance capabilities.

How does remote CAM programming work for my machine?

You provide the approved CAD data along with machine and tooling specifications. We develop toolpaths, setup sheets, and simulation data. All remote G-code must be reviewed and proven out by your qualified operator before production.

Do your digital services support 5-axis applications?

Yes. While our in-house manufacturing is focused on 3-axis routing, our digital CAD and CAM services support up to 5-axis simultaneous machining for wood, plastics, and various metals across multiple machine types.

What is the typical turnaround for a complete project?

Lead times vary by complexity and current capacity. Digital design and programming typically take 5–10 business days, while physical routing projects depend on material availability and machining volume.
